Entrion Wind, Inc. and Empire Engineering Limited, a leading offshore wind foundations consultancy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on technical and commercial feasibility studies for offshore wind projects with focus on enhancement and development of the FRP monopile technology.
Under the agreement, Empire Engineering will support Entrion Wind with detailed analysis demonstrating key technical challenges around the design, transportation, and installation of the FRP monopiles and other foundation technologies if applicable in offshore wind projects.
The two companies may cooperate as it pertains to front end engineering design (FEED), levelized cost of Energy (LCOE) evaluations, identification and monitoring of technical and financial uncertainties as well as pilot studies and commercial deployment.
